“Returning home from the Second World War, my grandfather met a young woman from the village of Beaupuy twenty years his junior. He fell completely, irreversibly in love. She, however, was not ready to leave the village she called home and so began a love that would refuse to give up.”

The Origin
He could not bring her village to him so he gave her village to his vines.
Unable to convince her to leave, he named his plot of vines after her home: Beaupuy. He chose the vine on purpose — since ancient times a symbol of fertility and abundance. Every row became a promise of a full and fruitful life together. In time, she said yes.
